Lagunitas Brewing Company
The Lagunitas Brewing Company was founded in 1993 in Lagunitas,
CA by Tony Magee. The brewery moved to nearby Petaluma when they
quickly outgrew their original rural West Marin location. They are
known for iconoclastic interpretations of traditional beer styles,
and irreverent descriptive text and stories on their
packaging. Lagunitas Brewing's flagship, IPA, is consistently
ranked as the best-selling IPA in California.
North Coast Brewing Company
A pioneer in the craft beer movement, North Coast Brewing
Company opened in 1998 as a local brewpub in the historic town of
Fort Bragg, located on California's Mendocino Coast.
Under the leadership of Brewmaster Mark Ruedrich, the brewery
has developed a strong reputation for quality having won more than
70 awards in national and international competitions.
Speakeasy Ales & Lagers
Speakeasy Ales and Lagers is a microbrewery located in the
Hunter's Point neighborhood of San Francisco. Steve Bruce and
Forest Gray founded it in 1997. Speakeasy brands its beers with
humorous reference to 1930s prohibition-era mobsters and organized
crime. Prohibition is one of the more popular local beers in San
Francisco, available in approximately 200 bars and restaurants and
1,000 stores in the San Francisco Bay Area, although bottled beer
is available regionally in California, eleven other states and
British Columbia as well. Its beers are flavorful and high in
alcohol, ranging from approximately 5% to 10% alcohol content by
volume.
