The first Pasta Pomodoro was opened in San Francisco in 1994, and immediately became a neighborhood fixture as the diverse Bay Area community embraced our fresh, simple and authentic Italian-inspired fare.
We continue that tradition today as a locally owned and operated Bay Area business. Each and every one of our dishes is prepared and served to order, using only the freshest local and seasonal ingredients.
Whether for a date night or a family dinner, we invite you to come visit your local neighborhood's Pasta Pomodoro and enjoy great pastas, pizzas or salads in our warm, contemporary setting.
At Pasta Pomodoro, we believe that delicious food is only the beginning.
We believe that just as good food nourishes our bodies and spirits, it can also play a vital role in nourishing communities. Our restaurants actively support to wide variety of local organizations from charities, to schools and youth sports teams. Over the years our Pasta Partnership program has raised millions of dollars for local organizations. In 2010 alone we held nearly 400 fund raising events at our restaurants.
Pasta Pomodoro is also a proud and active supporter of the local arts and cultural scene. We provide active support for non-profit organizations like KQED and feature the work of local artists in our restaurants.
Please contact the General Manager of your local, neighborhood Pasta Pomodoro or email us in San Francisco at pasta@pastap.com to learn more about how we can help support your organization.
We believe that adopting green practices is essential in today's business world. Our conservation programs range from reducing water and power consumption to using recyclable and biodegradable materials. We offer half-size portions to prevent waste and temptation, offer reusable to-go bags, purchase from humane and environmentally conscious suppliers, and provide healthy choices like organic salad greens, chemical-free shrimp and whole-grain fusilli. We participate in green waste programs, use the most energy-efficient light bulbs and equipment possible, and even reduced our use of computer print cartridges. It all adds up.
